After the M2 Note launch earlier this month, Meizu MX5 just went official today. The new Meizu MX5 comes with full-metal construction and is just 7.6mm thick weighing in at an impressive 149 grams even with a 5.5-inch display and 3150 mAh Battery.
Coming back to the specs, the Meizu MX5 has a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display running on the new MediaTek Helio x10 (MT6795) octa-core 64-bit processor with 3GB RAM, PowerVR G6200 GPU takes care of graphics. There's 16GB storage onboard but there will be 32GB and 64GB variants available. The MX5 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with FlyMe OS 4.5 on top.
The MX5 also comes with a fingerprint scanner dubbed mTouch 2.0. The company also said that the 2.2 GHz octa-core Helio x10 processor in the MX5 helped it score over 53300 on AnTuTu. The MX5 also comes with quick charging where the 3150 mAh battery can be charged to 50-60 percent in just 30 minutes and full charge in just under an hour.
The Meizu MX5 houses a 20.7MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, laser auto-focus, Sony IMX220 Exmor BSI sensor, 4K video recording, f/2.0 aperture and 6P lens. A 5MP front-camera with f/2.0 aperture lens takes care of selfies. Connectivity options aren't limited either. The MX5 comes with 4G LTE support (Dual-SIM), dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS.
The Meizu MX5 comes in Gray, Silver and Gold colors. You can get the 16GB variant for 1799 CYN (about US$290 or Rs. 18,500), 32GB for 1999 CYN (about US$322 or Rs. 20,500) and 2399 CYN (about US$387 or Rs. 24,600 ) 64GB variants.
