Meizu finally revealed Meizu M3 Note which is a successor to the very successful Meizu M2 Note. The M3 Note follows the tradition of all Meizu Note series devices of having a 5.5” inch FHD display but this time it’s covered in a layer of 2.5D curved glass (which is rare for a phone at this price).
The phone will be powered by the Mediatek Helio P10 processor, the same processor which we saw in Oppo F1 Plus which did seem to perform well in the time we got to spend with it. There's support for USB OTG as well but no confirmation on fast charging.
The phone will be running on company's own custom Android skin FlyMe OS which will run on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop. The new thing that we see here is the addition of a fingerprint sensor, the company claims to have used top-of-the-line sensor that can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds.
The complete specs are listed below:
- 5.5” inch FHD screen with 2.5D curved glass (No information on display protection...yet)
- 1.8GHz Octa Core Mediatek Helio P10
- GPU: Mali T860
- Flyme OS 5.1 running on top of Android 5.1 (Android Lollipop)

- 4100mAh non-removable battery (No info found on Fast Charging)
Meizu M3 Note will only be available in china, right now, for the price of 799 yuan (USD 123/ Approx. INR 8,000) for the less powerful model (2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage) and 999 yuan (USD 154/Approx. INR 10,000) for the 3GB RAM and 32GB Internal Storage variant.
It will go on sale in China on 11th April and the registration window is now open. The company has also said that the Meizu m3 Note will be coming to India in about a months time so we can expect an announcement around mid-May.
Meizu m3 note Specs and Photos
The phone for the price and the specs will offer a tough competition to the Xiaomi Redmi note 3. If Mediatek Helio P10 is able to perform as good as the Snapdragon 650 we may see some health competition between the two Chinese companies. All in all, as a customer there is no harm, actually it’s a positive as this would lead in more aggressive pricing of phones in the future.
