As we know that the MediaTek already announced its first flagship Dimensity 9000 4nm processor earlier this month. They also working on a higher mid-range processor the Dimensity 7000 5nm chip, which is now surfaced in China with key specifications by leakster Digital Chat Station. It reveals that the processor will come with 4 x Cortex A78 CPUs clocked at 2.75GHz and 4 x Cortex A55 CPUs clocked at 2.0GHz, which looks like an overclocked Dimensity 1100 processor.
The Dimensity 7000 will feature the latest Mali-G510 MC6 GPU compared to the Mali-G77 MC9 GPU in the Dimensity 1200. According to ARM, the Mali-G510 GPU will offer a 100% improvement in performance and 22% improvement in energy savings compared to Mali-G57 that is used in Dimensity 810 SoC. This processor could power several mid-range Redmi, realme, and other brands in the next year.
MediaTek also confirmed in the news blog that it has a separate strategy and new platform launch event in China held on December 16 and mentions Dimensity 9000 SoC. So we can expect some new releases to the processor, such as OEM partners and upcoming smartphones powered by this SoC. We should know more details and the features of the processor in the upcoming month.
