MediaTek launched its Dimensity 1200 6nm processor earlier this year and rumored the Dimensity 2000 5nm processor for Q1, but it didn’t announce yet. As per the new rumor from leaskster Digital Chatstation, MediaTek is working on its flagship chip for the first half of next year that will be based on the TSMC’s new 4nm process.
The MediaTek Dimensity 2000 could be based on the 4nm process even though earlier rumors said that it will use a 5 nm process. The company is now expected to skip it to launch 4nm SoCs next year that will power a range of smartphones. Earlier rumors revealed that Dimensity 2000 will comes with ARM Cortex X2, ARM Cortex-A710 CPU along with ARM Mali G710 GPU that was announced recently.
Recent rumors revealed that the successor to Snapdragon 888 with model number SM8450 or codename Waipio will be based on a 4nm process and feature Qualcomm X65 5G modem. Usually, Qualcomm launched its flagship chips in December, which will power in the devices starting from March the next year.
