Lenovo had earlier said in its earning's call that its Mobile Business Group will be merged into Motorola, with some changes to Motorola on the way as well. The design and development of Lenovo smartphones would be handed over to Motorola's design engineers and it seems the first of those smartphones have just made it online as a render.
@upLeaks has uploaded an image of a new Lenovo smartphone dubbed the "Lemon X" which clearly as taken design cues from the Nexus 6. You can see the ultra slim display bezels on the front with the display flanked by what appears to be stereo speakers giving the device a very symmetric look. What's different here though are the capacitive buttons below the display. Of-late we've seen Motorola employ on-screen buttons on all its smartphones.
If we move to the back you have a camera module, LED flash alongwith a fingerprint sensor all forming a part of a single structure emphasizing the clean symmetric design we've seen with the current crop of Motorola smartphones.
Although not much is known about this device, from the metal unibody construction it seems to be aiming for the mid to high-end segment. We'll keep an eye on the Lenovo Lemon X, so you don't have to and stay tuned to PhoneBunch for more updates.
