Update: LeEco has confirmed that they will not be launching the new Le 2 or LeMax 2 devices at the Mumbai event, but the certification process for the new Le 2 smartphones has begun and they will be coming very soon to India.
LeEco has just begun sending invites to a launch event in Mumbai (India) on May 3rd, where the company is expected to launch its latest smartphones, the Le 2, Le 2 Pro and probably Le Max 2 as well.
All three phones were just announced yesterday. The Le 2 and Le 2 Pro run on deca-core MediaTek Helio X20/X25 chipsets with upto 4GB RAM while the LeMax 2 runs on the Snapdragon 820 with upto 6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage.
LeEco also killed the headphone jack in its new smartphones and instead routes audio through the USB Type-C port of the device. But to help with the transition they will include a USB Type-C to 3.5mm audio adapter in the box with the new phones.
Expected Pricing
At present there is no word on availability but if we consider the pricing in China, the Le 2 will come in at about Rs. 11,000 while the Le 2 Pro would start at Rs. 14000 with the Le Max 2 starting at Rs. 21500 for the 4GB/32GB variant and up to Rs. 23500 for the 6GB RAM variant.
