Lava has begun sending out invites for its widely anticipated Android One launch event. This will be one of the first phones in the second-gen line-up of Android One smartphones. It is expected to feature a 5-inch display, 2GB RAM running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and will be upgradable to Android M.
According to our sources, this time around Google has given a bit of free reign to Lava in terms of design and to an extent software as well. Pricing and availability will be the key to its success. Last time, pricing was perfect but making Android One devices available only through online-retailers killed the entire initiative.
This will be Lava's first Android One smartphone and might just be the boost company is looking for to gather momentum.
