Karbonn has just launched the A50, an entry-level Android smartphone with 1GHz processor, 3.5-inch HVGA (320x480 pixels) display and Android 4.0 ICS. Apart from that the Karbonn A50 also has a 3 Megapixel primary camera and 1300 mAh battery. The phone supports dual-SIM dual-standby both on EDGE networks. In terms of connectivity there's Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth support.
The Karbonn A50 is clearly a competition to the likes of Micromax Bolt A35, Samsung Galaxy Star and various offerings from Lava's Iris line. But its the price that is most enticing, the Karbonn A50 is available for Rs. 3990 from Snapdeal, and runs Android 4.0 which none of the entry-level devices do, they are mostly on Gingerbread, except the Galaxy Star but then it costs about Rs. 1000 more and has a terrible display.
