itel has announced that will soon introduce its latest smartphone the itel S23+ in India, with a price tag of less than Rs. 15,000. The standout feature of this phone is its expansive 6.78-inch FHD+ 3D Curved AMOLED display, a notable upgrade from the S23, which was launched a few months ago and featured a 6.6-inch 90Hz LCD screen.
The recent official announcement of the phone confirms its specifications, which include an Unisoc T616 4G SoC paired with 8GB of RAM (with an additional 8GB of virtual RAM), 256GB of storage, and the Android 13-based itelOS 13, equipped with the Aivana GPT AI-based voice assistant.
The company is also highlighting the Dynamic Bar software feature, which enables users to conveniently access vital notifications such as battery status, incoming calls, reminders, and unlock status. This feature has been observed in some other smartphones, such as the mini capsule on realme devices.
Camera-wise, the itel S23+ boasts a 50MP primary camera alongside a secondary camera, as well as a 32MP front-facing camera housed within a punch-hole cutout. Other noteworthy features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and a robust 5,000 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
For the global market, the itel S23+ is set to be priced at approximately $120 (around Rs. 9,980), with availability starting in Africa before making its way to India in the coming weeks.
