Early this week, iQOO already confirmed will launch its latest flagship smartphones the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro in the iQOO 9 series on January 5th in China. Today, it has been confirmed that the iQOO 9 Pro will feature the latest 2K Samsung E5 AMOLED curved screen with LTPO 2.0 technology, 10bit color, peak brightness is 1500nit, a variable refresh rate up to 120Hz and 1000Hz touch sampling rate.
Th iQOO 9 Pro will feature an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor with a large 578mm² area, the same as the iQOO 8 Pro, so the efficiency is higher and faster than the optical fingerprint scanner, and the teaser image also shows a metal frame. The iQOO 9 will feature an FHD+ 120Hz flat AMOLED screen but doesn't come with the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
The company also confirmed that the iQOO 9 Pro will be powered by a 4700mAh dual-cell battery that supports 120W ultra-fast flash charging and also has 50W wireless flash charging support. It will feature a 120W gallium nitride mini charger that will weigh just 35 grams, which is 26% smaller than the older 120W chargers.
The company already confirmed that the iQOO 9 series will be run on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship processor and will feature a large 3926mm² stacked waterfall VC three-dimensional heat dissipation system, and has LPDDR5 RAM with UFS 3.1 storage.
