iQOO has announced the launch of its iQOO 13 smartphones at an event in China on October 30th, following the reveal that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, as shared at the Snapdragon Summit.
In India, iQOO has confirmed the iQOO 13 will be available soon, with sales through Amazon and the iQOO India online store. However, realme is expected to be the first brand to introduce a phone featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite in mid-November, so the iQOO 13 is likely to debut in India by late November or December.
The company has also unveiled the available color options: Isle of Man, White Legendary Edition, Black Racetrack, and Gray. Additionally, the iQOO 13 will feature a rear camera module with an "energy halo" design, which is turned off by default but can be activated as needed.
One of the key highlights of the iQOO 13 is its 6150mAh third-generation silicon carbon battery, an upgrade from the 5000mAh battery found in the iQOO 12. Despite the increased battery capacity, the device remains lightweight and slim, according to the company. It will support 120W fast charging, though no mention has been made of wireless charging. The iQOO 13 will also come equipped with the self-developed Q2 gaming chip, offering PC-level 2K texture super-resolution and native 144FPS super-frame, along with a multi-layer graphene + 7K ultra-large VC heat dissipation system.
The display will feature a 6.82-inch 2K+ flat screen (3168×1440 pixels) with a 144Hz refresh rate, developed in collaboration with BOE. It will also include the world's first OLED circularly polarized light eye protection technology. Other confirmed features include Drum Master dual speakers, a 1016H super-large vibration motor, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and IP68 water and dust resistance.
Pricing details are expected to be revealed when the phone is officially launched next week.
