iQOO is set to introduce the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro in China on November 7, followed by the vanilla model's much-anticipated launch in India on December 12. The iQOO 12 will be retailed via Amazon India, with the option of purchasing it through iQOO's official Indian website as well.
The absence of any mention of the iQOO 12 Pro in iQOO's promotional campaign and the press release we received suggests that the Pro version won't be launched alongside the standard model in India next month, or it may be altogether omitted. The latter seems more probable, considering that the iQOO 11 Pro was not introduced in India either.
While iQOO has not provided a comprehensive specification sheet for the iQOO 12 series, the company has affirmed that the lineup will be equipped with the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. iQOO's Indian division had earlier indicated that the iQOO 12 would be the inaugural smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in India. However, it remains to be seen if this claim holds true, as the Xiaomi 14, also equipped with the same chip, has recently received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
According to the Trusted insider, Digital Chat Station has shared hands-on images of the iQOO 12 on his Weibo profile. These recent images align with earlier leaks concerning the phone's design. The white variant showcases BMW M Motorsport branding, while the black model seems to feature a textured surface. On the front, there's a flat display with evenly proportioned bezels and a punch-hole cutout to accommodate the selfie camera.
The iQOO 12 is set to make its debut with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, offering up to 16GB of RAM and 120W charging. In terms of the rear cameras, we anticipate a 50 MP OmniVision OV50H main camera (1/1.3"), a 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 (1/2.76") ultrawide lens, and a 64MP OmniVision OV64B (1/2") 3x zoom camera.
