Apple is working on the upcoming mid-range iPhone SE 4, also referred to as the iPhone SE 2025 model, first emerged in 2022, shortly after the iPhone SE 3 was released. According to a recent report from Digitimes, Apple has now begun sourcing OLED displays for the device.
As reported by 9to5Mac, the phone is rumoured to have a 6.1-inch OLED Super Retina XDR display with a resolution of 460ppi, similar to the iPhone 14. It is also expected to be powered by the latest A18 chip from the iPhone 16 series and feature support for Apple Intelligence.
For the first time, Apple is likely to replace Qualcomm's modem with its own in this model. As for the cameras, it is said to include a 48MP rear camera and a 12MP front-facing camera from the iPhone 15, though it may omit the ultra-wide camera.
The battery is expected to be comparable to that of the iPhone 14, though the exact capacity remains unknown. With the 3nm chip, the phone is anticipated to offer improved power efficiency. However, it's unclear if it will support the 25W Magsafe charging found in the iPhone 16 series.
