iPhone 16 press images leak.

While the iPhone 16 series is still a considerable distance away, a recent MacRumors article sheds light on crucial details concerning the design of the standard iPhone 16. According to reports, Apple is in the midst of experimenting with the back design and button placement for its upcoming base model iPhone, internally referred to as "DeLorean." Presently, we have three pre-production design renders that showcase potential alterations.

The initial design adopts an iPhone X inspired camera setup, featuring a vertical pill housing dual camera lenses. Notably, the yellow-colored iPhone 16 prototype showcases a consolidated volume rocker button, departing from the separate volume up and down buttons present on iPhones since 2010. Each of the three devices incorporates capacitive Action Buttons positioned above the volume controls, with the black model featuring a visibly larger button.

In the renders presented in pink and black, the camera design reverts to a more familiar appearance, with each lens encased within a metal ring. The black model introduces a capacitive Capture Button situated below the power button. According to a prior rumor, this new button, internally labeled "Project Nova" at Apple headquarters, is designed to provide force-touch feedback while also serving as a shutter button for the camera. It is anticipated that the Action Button will be a consistent feature across the entire iPhone 16 series.
