Apple is preparing to release the latest iPhone 15 series later this year, with anticipated updates for the iPhone 15 Pro lineup. Unfortunately, with these enhancements may come a potential increase in price. As per Mark Gurman's Bloomberg newsletter, the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models are anticipated to have slimmer bezels in comparison to their predecessors. This advancement is achievable through the application of a new manufacturing method known as 'low-injection pressure over-molding (LIPO).
Apple is considering replacing the stainless steel frames in the iPhone 15 Pro models with lighter, but more expensive, titanium frames in an effort to reduce weight. However, this change may result in a price increase for all four models in international markets, as well as some pro models in the U.S. This is due to the shift to titanium and the upgraded camera system in the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
It is expected that the bezels surrounding the displays of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will be reduced to about 1.5 mm from the current 2.2 mm. LIPO, which was previously used in the Apple Watch Series 7, is also anticipated to be included in the upcoming iPad.
It is anticipated that all four models of the iPhone 15 will adopt the Dynamic Island design, which eliminates the unattractive notch featured in the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. Furthermore, reports suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will be furnished with a 3-nanometer chip, resulting in a significant increase in speed when compared to the A16 chip incorporated in the regular iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
According to previous reports, all models of the iPhone 15 will be equipped with USB-C ports. However, it seems that the iPhone 15 Pro versions may not have solid-state buttons, despite earlier speculation.
