Intel has announced its next-generation Core Ultra processors, codenamed “Lunar Lake,” set for September 3rd at the IFA event in Berlin.

The event will be hosted by Michelle Johnston Holthaus, EVP and General Manager of the Client Computing Group, and Jim Johnson, SVP and General Manager of the Client Business Group. They will be joined by PC manufacturers showcasing their Core Ultra Lunar Lake-based systems.

The Lunar Lake processors will feature an advanced microarchitecture designed to deliver high performance while maintaining low power consumption.

Reports suggest that Lunar Lake might be branded as the ‘Core Ultra 200V,’ representing a significant update to Intel’s chip architectures and design strategies.

The Lunar Lake “Core Ultra 200V” CPUs will feature -

  • CPU - New Lion Cove P-Cores and Skymont E-Cores, offering notable IPC improvements.
  • GPU - The new Xe2 architecture with advanced XMX capabilities.
  • NPU4 - Providing up to 48 TOPS, totaling 120 TOPS of AI computing power within a compact SoC.

Launch Event Details -

Intel’s Lunar Lake Core Ultra processors will be launched on September 3rd at 6 p.m. CEST (9 a.m. PDT / 9:30 p.m. IST) through a live-streamed event, with a recorded replay available on Intel’s Newsroom portal.

The event will also introduce the first platforms developed in collaboration with Intel’s partners, just ahead of IFA 2024 in Berlin, which kicks off on September 6, 2024.
