HUAWEI has unveiled its Pura 70 Series smartphones in China, rebranding its ‘P’ series lineup. The series comprises the Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro+, and Pura 70 Ultra smartphones.
Design and Display -
The Pura 70 Series by HUAWEI introduces a fresh appearance, featuring a distinct triangular camera module on the rear. While the standard version boasts a flat design, the Pro models come with slightly curved edges. All models feature high refresh rate displays, with the standard version sporting a 6.6-inch screen, and the others equipped with larger 6.8-inch quad-curved OLED displays.
They all integrate LTPO technology, providing a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz, along with 1440Hz PWM dimming and a 300Hz sampling rate for improved responsiveness. The displays are safeguarded by second-generation Kunlun glass.
Camera -
Under the XMAGE branding, the Pura 70 series offers various camera configurations. The base model showcases a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultrawide-angle lens, and a 12MP periscope telephoto unit.
The Pro and Pro+ models share a 50MP main camera, a 12.5MP ultrawide-angle lens, and a third 48MP macro telephoto camera. All models support variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0, with OIS stabilization for both main and telephoto sensors.
The top-tier Pura 70 Ultra features a 1-inch camera with a retractable lens, offering a variable aperture from f/1.6 to f/4.0, along with a sensor-shift anti-shake feature. This model presents a 50MP main camera, a 40MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP macro telephoto lens with up to 100x digital zoom.
Processors and Battery -
Powered by the Kirin 9010 chip with the Maleoon 910 GPU, the Pura 70 series ensures efficient performance. The standard Pura 70 comes with a 4900mAh battery supporting 66W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 5W wired/7.5W wireless reverse charging.
The Pro and Pro+ models share a 5050mAh battery, while the Ultra variant boasts a 5200mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging, 80W wireless charging, and support for 18W wired/20W wireless reverse charging.
Other Features -
All models feature an IP68 rating, in-screen fingerprint sensor, dual SIM capability, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB Type-C (USB 3.1 Gen 1). Huawei emphasizes satellite connectivity across the Pura 70 series, alongside the integration of its Pangu LLM for AI features. The devices operate on Harmony OS 4.2.
