Huawei is gearing up to launch the Mate 9 smartphone with dual 12MP Leica cameras with f/2.2 aperture. Renders of the phone have just leaked online showing the dual cameras on the back with laser autofocus and dual-tone LED flash along with the noise cancellation mic. We expect the same monochrome and RGB camera sensors here as the Huawei P9.
The metal-clad smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor at the back while the speaker has been moved to the bottom of the phone where you will also find the USB Type-C port. In the front, you can also see 2.5D glass which covers the 5.9-inch display and yes, there's a 3.5mm headphone jack here as well. An Infrared Sensor is also visible at the top.
The Huawei Mate 9 will run on the new Kirin 960 SoC which is comprised of four powerful Cortex-A73 cores and four power saving Cortex-A53 cores kept in big.LITTLE arrangement. Graphics will be handled by the efficient Mali-G71 GPU. The Mate 9 is expected to come in two variants, 4GB RAM with 64GB onboard storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage.
Although the battery capacity of the phone is not known, a 4000 mAh or bigger battery is expected.
