Huawei all set to launch its new Mate 10 lineup at an event in Germany on October 16. The new Mate 10 series is expected to endorse the tall 18:9 aspect ratio displays and run on the new powerful Kirin 970 chipset.

But that's not all thanks to popular leakster Evan Blass (@evLeaks) we got out first glimpse at the Mate 10 Pro. Code-named Blanc, the Mate 10 Pro is expected to feature a 5.99-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with super tiny bezels, water-resistant body, f/1.6 aperture dual rear cameras and run on Android 8.0 Oreo. Huawei has also been touting its AI prowess, which is something we would have to see to believe.

The Mate 10 Pro was shown in Blue, Black, and Brown color options. The camera module is housed is a slightly lighter shade than the rest of the back cover, which does appear to be a polarizing design choice. On zooming further into the renders, you can see more details about the cameras on the phone which are again being designed in association with Leica and the description reads "LEICA SUMMILUX-H 1:1.6/27 ASPH".

There's laser autofocus and phase-detect autofocus on offer as well, and from what we have heard the Mate 10 Pro's cameras will also have Optical Image Stabilization. The dual camera setup is expected to house a 20 MP monochrome sensor along with a 12 MP RGB sensor while you will get an 8MP camera in the front.

Underneath the hood, you will find the newly minted octa-core Kirin 970 chipset coupled with G72 MP12 GPU. Moreover, this phone would also get 6 GB RAM and come in both 64 GB and 128 GB storage variants with microSD expansion.

The fingerprint scanner finds its place below the rear camera, there is also talk of IP68 dust/water resistance as well along with a massive 4000 mAh battery which supports fast charging.

Huawei will also launch another phone code-named Alps (Mate 10) with a slightly smaller display and 4 GB RAM. Then there's the Mate 10 Lite which too would be announced for the international markets at the event.
