HTC has officially announced the upcoming release of a new smartphone on June 12th, following a series of rumors and teasers. Alongside the unveiling date, the teaser offers a glimpse of the phone's side profile, showcasing the power button, volume rockers, and camera module.
According to previous speculations, the company is anticipated to unveil the U24 and U24 Pro smartphones as successors to last year's U23 series.
Recently, the HTC phone with model number 2QDA100 appeared on a Geekbench listing, revealing specifications such as the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, 12GB of RAM, and Android 14. It also made an appearance in the Google Play Console database, disclosing a Full HD+ display resolution (1080 × 2436 pixels) along with other details previously mentioned in the benchmark listing.
Given that the company introduced the U23 and U23 Pro last year with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, the upgrade to the 7 Gen 3 chipset appears promising. Additionally, expectations suggest that the U24 series may inherit IP67 ratings for dust and water resistance from its predecessors.
As for the launch time, HTC has confirmed that the phone will be unveiled on June 12th at 8AM Taiwan time (5:30 AM IST), so all the details about the phone should become available next Wednesday.
