HTC had already rolled out Android 8.0 Oreo update for its flagship HTC U11, and HTC 10 smarthones. Now, the company is rolling out Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for the U Ultra. The changelog doesn't say much apart from the new system update along with some enhancements.
Coming back to Android Oreo, there are a host of new features in store. There are background limits for notifications, notification channels, new AutoFill APIs, picture-in-picture for videos, new AAudio API for Pro Audio, along with app runtime performance optimizations.
The HTC U Ultra v2.19.709.2 / 2.19.400.1 Android 8.0 update also includes the January security patch and is 1.32GB in size. It is also rolling out in India.
