HTC has just announced that their flagship, HTC 10 smartphone will be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat starting tomorrow. But that's just for the unlocked variant, the carrier versions will get the update in early 2017.
The HTC 10 is among the very few non-Google smartphones that have been updated to Nougat. For now, we have only seen the Moto Z, Moto Z Force, LG G5 to get the tasty new update. Samsung too has started working on a beta Nougat build for its flagship smartphones.

Coming back to HTC, at present there is no word on when the One A9 or One M9 will get the Nougat update but we can expect it the first half of next year. Given HTC's track record, this is a welcome change.
