Update - Today, HONOR has postponed the launch of its latest smartphone HONOR V40 5G in China from January 18th to 22nd. The company also confirmed that the phone will come with a GPU Turbo X graphics acceleration engine and also shared a new image of the phone.
It also shares the camera details, comes with a triple rear camera setup of 50MP + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro cameras. The HONOR has now an independent company and has change the online products sell from Vmall to HONOR mall.
Earlier - HONOR has officially confirmed the launch of its latest mid-range 5G smartphone the HONOR V40 series in China on January 18th. The teaser poster has confirmed the phone comes with a curved display, dual punch-hole cameras, and a metal frame. The last teaser showed the curved display with a SIM slot that could be a hybrid slot with an NM memory card, USB Type-C Port, and the speaker grill on the bottom.
According to the earlier rumors, the phone has a 6.72-inch (1236 x 2676 pixels) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and has an in-display fingerprint scanner. it will runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor with up to 8GB RAM with 128GB / 256GB storage options and supports 66W wired charging and 50W wireless fast charging. The phone is expected to feature a quad rear camera setup including a 50MP primary camera.
According to the rendered image, it shows the rear camera module of the phone adopts an “Oreo” circular design. The design is inspired by the classic four-leans dial of a famous watch the Honor Magic Watch and retains the MATRIX CAMERA. The front side has a dual punch-hole camera design on the left top corner, the aperture area is reduced by about 20%, and the 88° curvature waterfall screen is adopted.
