Honor is gearing up for the launch of its upcoming flagship series, known as the Magic6. As per information from Digital Chat Station, this series is expected to comprise three models, presumably a standard, Pro, and Ultimate version. Additionally, there are indications of a Porsche Design variant in development, which might potentially replace the Ultimate variant.
The leak suggests that all the phones in the Magic6 lineup will feature a distinctive design with two selfie cameras housed within an oval punch hole. The models are categorized as "middle size," "large size," and "extra-large size," with the first two sporting a circular camera island.
The largest variant will exhibit a camera island with a shape somewhere between a circle and a rectangle, reminiscent of the Magic5 Ultimate. However, the specific details are not entirely clear, leaving room for speculation regarding whether it refers to the "new Porsche Design" or an entirely different smartphone.
Porsche Design, renowned for its association with luxury and innovation, was founded by the same individual responsible for designing the iconic Porsche 911 sports car in the 1960s. In the realm of mobile phones, Porsche Design has previously collaborated with BlackBerry and, for over seven years, with Huawei.
If the rumors prove accurate, Honor is poised to elevate its status further by taking over the Porsche Design partnership from its previous owner, Huawei. Already a leading smartphone company in China, this move would mark another significant stride for Honor in establishing itself as a dominant force in the industry.
