HONOR recently unveiled two fresh additions to its smartphone lineup in China: the HONOR Magic6 RSR Porsche Design and the Magic6 Ultimate. Regarding their design aesthetics, the Magic6 RSR Porsche Design showcases a distinctive hexagonal camera arrangement on its rear, while the Magic6 Ultimate adopts a square-shaped camera module. However, despite these design discrepancies, both devices largely retain the internal specifications of the standard HONOR Magic6 Pro.
The Porsche Design variant features a hexagonal camera island crafted from glass, while the Ultimate model showcases a vegan leather backplate sporting a distinctive vertical line for enhanced grip. Both models share identical dimensions, measuring 162.5 x 75.8 x 8.9mm. The Porsche Design weighs in at 237 grams, slightly heavier than the Ultimate model at 227 grams.
A remarkable 6.8-inch Dual-Layer OLED Tandem Display adorns both devices, boasting a resolution of 2800 x 1280 pixels and a refresh rate reaching up to 120Hz. This display is Dolby Vision certified and fortified by HONOR Diamond Giant Rhino Glass for protection.
Underneath the surface, both smartphones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, coupled with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage for the Magic6 RSR | Porsche Design, and 16GB of RAM with storage options of 512GB/1TB for the Magic6 Ultimate Edition.
Both devices are IP68 certified for water and dust resistance and feature NanoCrystal Shield protection to ward off scratches. Fueling these devices is a robust 5,600mAh silicon-carbon battery supported by HONOR SuperCharge technology, enabling 80W wired Type-C charging and 66W wireless charging.
The rear camera setup comprises a 50MP Super Dynamic Falcon Camera with adjustable aperture (f/1.4-f/2.0, OIS, SMA Actuator) paired with a 180MP periscope telephoto camera (f/2.6 aperture, 2.5x optical zoom, 100x digital zoom), and a 50MP ultrawide unit (f/2.0 aperture, 122-degree FoV).
The primary camera incorporates LOFIC technology and a substantial 1/1.3-inch sensor (H9800 – Howell OV50K). On the front, users can find a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 3D ToF sensor, enabling advanced facial scanning even in low-light conditions.
Both models offer DTS:X Ultra Sound Effects, stereo speakers, and connectivity options such as Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, 5G support, and dual nano SIM card slots. The Magic6 Ultimate Edition exclusively features dual-directional satellite communication. Operating on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14, the software ensures a seamless user experience.

Pricing and Availability -
The HONOR Magic6 RSR | Porsche Design comes in Agate Gray and Iceberry Pink colors and the price is 9,999 yuan (equivalent to USD 1389 or approximately Rs. 1,17,840) for 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It will also hit markets outside of China in the second quarter of 2024. Pre-sales have already commenced in China, with the official sale scheduled to begin on March 22.
Meanwhile, the HONOR Magic6 Ultimate Edition is currently available for pre-order and is offered in two captivating colors: Ink Black and Sky Purple, both featuring a stylish leather texture. It will be available for open sale starting on March 22nd.
