HONOR has announced that it will launch its new gaming smartphone in the GT series, the HONOR GT in China on December 16, following the earlier release of the HONOR X50 GT. HONOR confirmed that the device will feature an AI Oasis eye-protection gaming display with innovative technology to reduce motion sickness during gaming.
This includes a 360-degree full-scene motion sickness relief display and full freedom of movement across 12 directions, designed for comfort even during gaming sessions in a moving vehicle. The company has also revealed the phone's design and colour options: Phantom Black, Ice Crystal White, and Aurora Green. It will be available in four variants: 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB.
The phone also offers a flagship AI sleep-aiding display that reduces visual fatigue by 14%, increasing melatonin levels by 20%. Its advanced eye protection features include AI defocus technology, 3840Hz ultra-high-frequency PWM dimming, and natural light simulation to ease ciliary muscle strain and reduce visual fatigue by 18%. Additional highlights include 360° adaptive dimming and hardware-level low blue light, cutting harmful blue light emissions to under 5.6%.
According to a leak from Digital Chat Station, the HONOR GT series phone will sport a 6.7-inch 1.5K LTPS flat display, be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, and offer 1.5K PC-level super-resolution. It will incorporate aerospace-grade heat dissipation materials, a 50MP OIS main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5300mAh battery with 100W fast charging. Despite its powerful specifications, the phone is designed to be sleek, measuring just 7.7mm thick and weighing 196g.
