Google Play Store and Android Apps are now available on the stable channel of Chrome OS. The developer version of Chrome OS for the Chromebook Flip had already received the Play Store upgrade with Android Apps back in June. But its the first time we are seeing Android Apps on the stable build.
But Google has limited the roll-out to Acer Chromebook R11 and Asus Chromebook Flip. But the Play Store build is still in beta on Chrome OS 53.0.2785.129.
There are a lot of bug fixes in store, security enhancements and feature updates. You would have to still manually enable Play Store from Chrome Settings.
