Many of us have been using the Google Pixel launcher on our phones ever since it leaked, but now it has finally made it's way to the Play Store. However, you would still have to go the side-loading route as it's restricted to just the Pixel smartphones for now. Not even Nexus devices.
There are some neat changes in the Pixel launcher compared to the Google Now launcher. The icons and folders are rounded, there's no app drawer instead you just swipe from the bottom of the home screen to bring up installed apps. There's no search bar either, instead, you have the pill shaped Google button which lets you search directly or you can swipe it to the left for the Google Now screen.
Pixel smartphone owners have the option to use two different wallpapers for the home screen and lock screen. But the most interesting part is Google's new Wallpaper app which lets you choose from various categories of wallpapers like Earth, Landscapes, Cityscapes, Life and Textures. All these wallpapers are curated from the extensive collection of 500px, Google Earth and from Google+ users. You can also make the app change your phone's wallpaper daily or choose from your own photos.
You can get the Wallpaper app on your Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or higher smartphone. Check the link below to download.
