Google has officially started teasing its first foldable smartphone the Pixel Fold that will launch at the Google I/O on May 10th, after rumors. The teaser video shows both the front and rear displays and triple rear cameras.
In the image, it is clear the inner screen with large bezels, and the camera on the top bezel. It also shows the hinge that should be nearly gapless. According to the rumors, the phone will feature a 7.6-inch (1840 x 2208 pixels) 6:5 aspect ratio OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1450 nits peak brightness.
The camera module doesn’t extend to the sides like the Pixel 7 series and is expected to get a 48MP primary camera with OIS along with 10.8MP 121.1° Ultra-wide camera and a 10.8MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and 20x Super Res zoom.
The Pixel Fold is also expected to feature IPX8 ratings for water resistance. As per the rumors, the phone will be available for pre-order on the same day of the announcement through the Google Store, but the sale should be started on June 27th.
Google will also announce the Pixel 7a at the Google I/O, which will also launch in India after the global launch.
