Google launched the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro smartphones back in October, releasing the Pixel 8 in Obsidian, Hazel, and Rose colors, while the Pixel 8 Pro was offered in Obsidian, Bay, and Porcelain hues. Recently, the company officially introduced a new Mint color, following a mysterious teaser that hinted at a 'Fresh year, fresh drop.'
Contrasting with the Lemongrass color of the Pixel 7, the Mint shade is slightly darker. Despite the color difference, both models share a glass body with a glossy finish and boast similar specifications.
Pricing and Availability -
The newly introduced Mint color option is exclusively available through the Google Store and is offered solely in the 128GB model, maintaining the same price point. While the Mint Pixel 8 is visible on the Google India online store, it's important to note that Google exclusively sells Pixel phones through Flipkart in India. Therefore, the availability of the new color variant in India is expected to be on Flipkart.
January Pixel Feature Drop -
Included in the January Pixel Feature Drop is the capability to measure body temperature on the Pixel 8 Pro, following FDA authorization. The Circle to Search feature, initially unveiled by Google at the Galaxy Unpacked event, is either currently rolling out or set to roll out widely starting January 31st.
Additionally, the Photomoji and Magic Compose feature within the Google Messages app for Pixel users are now being broadly rolled out.
