Google has officially confirmed the launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro later this fall along with Google Pixel Watch, after rumors. The company has also shown the design of the phones in images and said that these will come with next-generation Tensor SoC and will base on the latest Android 13 out of the box.
The phones still have cameras in the horizontal modules, but these are smaller than the previous Pixel 6 series. Both these will have an aluminum frame with a matte finish on the Pixel 7, and the Pixel 7 Pro will come with a polished aluminum finish. The image shows pixel 7 has dual rear cameras and the Pixel 7 Pro will have triple rear cameras, including a periscope telephoto camera.
The Pixel 7 will come in Obsidian, Snow, and Lemongrass colors and the Pixel 7 Pro will be available in Obsidian, Snow, and Hazel colors. Earlier rumors revealed that the phones will feature Tensor GS201 SoC and Exynos 5300 modem.
Google Pixel Watch -
Google also teased its first smartwatch the Pixel Watch At the Google I/O, as expected. It has a circular curved screen with a domed design and will come with Fitbit integration since Google owns Fitbit. It has a tactile crown along with two buttons, has a stainless steel case, and will support customizable bands. It will be based on the latest Wear OS 3.1 that will let you control Nest home devices right from your wrist.
The image has confirmed GPS support, 5ATM or 50m water resistance, and LTE support to make calls and send messages without the phone.
It will also support NFC for Google Wallet payments, feature continuous heart rate and sleep tracking, and will come with Fitbit integration offering fitness tracking with Active Zone Minute, stats, progress, and personal fitness goals.
Google Pixel Tablet -
Google also teased its first pixel series Tablet the Pixel Tablet at the Google I/O along with the Pixel 7 series, after discontinuing the Nexus tablets a few years back. The Android tablet will be powered by the latest Google Tensor processor, and the company said that it is designed to complement the Pixel phone and is designed to be the most helpful tablet in the world.
The teaser image shows a large screen, a camera on the top bezel, a power button on the top, a single rear camera without flash, and quad speakers on the sides. It will likely run the optimized version of the Android 13 or probably Android 13L designed for tablets.
We should know more details and the full specifications of the devices in the coming months, before they go officially launched in the fall, which could be in October, as per the earlier reports.
