Google has officially announced that Google I/O 2024 is scheduled for May 14th. As customary, the announcement was made through a puzzle, which was subsequently revealed by Google after its solution. The event will take place live at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California, and will be hosted by CEO Sundar Pichai.
According to Google, the event will feature presentations on the latest developer products, technologies, and methods to engage with the developer community.
Ahead of the event, Google has already launched the first Android 15 developer preview. In May, the company plans to unveil Android 15 beta 2 and disclose partnerships with various smartphone manufacturers.
Anticipation surrounds the potential introduction of the Pixel 8a, following last year's release of the Pixel 7a. It remains uncertain whether the Pixel Fold 2 will make an appearance at the event. Additionally, as hinted in the puzzle, attendees can anticipate announcements regarding Android XR, advancements in AI, and more, building upon last year's enhancements to Wear OS.
