Just this morning we saw images of both the Pixel and Pixel XL leak from Telus and Bell carriers, and now Carphone Warehouse has left nothing to hide except price of Google's new smartphones.
Although this is not an official announcement from Google, its as close as we can get ahead of tomorrow's launch. The Google Pixel is said to come with a 5-inch full HD AMOLED display which is protected by Gorilla Glass 4 running on the Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor. There's 4GB RAM on offer and you will be able to buy the phone in a 32GB and 128GB storage configuration which for the first time is expandable on the Pixel smartphones up to 256GB with a microSD card slot.
There's a new 12.3MP rear camera with Sony sensor and OIS capable of recording 4K videos along with an 8MP front facing camera for selfies. USB Type-C charging comes standard for the 2770 mAh battery along with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The bigger Pixel XL comes with a larger 5.5-inch Quad-HD AMOLED display compared to 1080p on the Pixel. It runs on the same Snapdragon 821 with 4GB RAM configuration but gets a larger 3450 mAh battery. It has the same OIS equipped 12.3MP rear camera and 8MP front camera as well.
At present again there is no word on pricing but we can confirm that both Pixel and Pixel XL will be available in atleast black and white colors. You will also be able to customize these with Google Cases which were launched earlier for Nexus devices. All that remains now is pricing and of there are some new nifty features that Google has added to Android 7.1 Nougat running on their Pixel smartphones.
