Cyanogen has finally let the cat out of the bag with a blog post, saying that OnePlus One device sold in India won't receive OTA updates from the company due to its exclusive deal with Micromax for YU brand devices.
This comes in the wake of OnePlus One being sold in India through India specific invites on Amazon. Although Cyanogen Inc. will continue to send OTA updates to global variant of the OnePlus, its only the Indian variant which will be left out. Therefore, after the Lollipop ROM update OnePlus One users will be left stranded till OnePlus makes its own ROM.
