Asus is all set to bring its new Zenfone 3 series to India at its Zenvolution event on August 17th. The new Zenfone 3 series brings premium metal and glass design with a fingerprint sensor onboard.
All the new Zenfone 3 models now run on Qualcomm Snapdragon processors as well. Asus is expected to bring the Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Zenfone 3 Ultra as well as the Zenfone 3 Laser and Zenfone 3 Max to India.

Coming to specs, Zenfone 3 packs a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display protected by 2.5D curved glass running on the Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, 3GB/4GB RAM and a choice of 32/64GB internal storage which would be expandable. It would run Android Marshmallow out of the box with Asus ZenUI on top. On the camera front you will get a 16MP f/2.0 rear unit with phase-detection autofocus, optical image stabilization and dual-tone LED flash. In the front you get an 8MP camera capable of recording 1080p videos.
Zenfone 3 Deluxe is the flagship of the bunch powered by the quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU and 6GB RAM. It also features a larger 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with 1.3mm slim bezels for 76% screen to body ratio. Being a flagship smartphone Asus is packing a 23MP rear camera with Sony IMX318 sensor, Optical Image Stabilization and 3-axis electronic image stabilization. You have a combo of laser and phase detection autofocus which can get a focus on an object in just 0.03 seconds. You also have a fingerprint sensor on the back here. On the front you get an 8MP camera and capacitive buttons which are backlit (finally!).
The Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra comes with a massive 6.8-inch 1080p display with full metal unibody construction but it packs the 23MP rear camera with optical image stabilization from the Zenfone 3 Deluxe. It also has an 8MP front camera and runs on the Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and a massive 4600 mAh battery.
Both the Zenfone 3 Laser and Zenfone 3 Max are expected to be priced less than Rs. 13000 in India. The Laser variant would come with a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display with 2.5D curved glass, 4GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage running on Android Marshmallow. The Zenfone 3 Max on the other hand would come with a 5.2-inch 1080p IPS display, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage but a massive 4100 mAh battery. Both are expected to pack 13MP rear cameras and 8MP front cameras but the Zenfone 3 Laser would also come with laser assisted autofocus.
