Apple Music Wwdc 2015

What's the next step for iTunes? A music streaming service from Apple (Apple Music), coming at WWDC. Sony Music CEO Doug Morris has confirmed in an interview that Apple will launch its own music streaming service today, June 8th at WWDC 2015.

The music streaming service will arrive on iOS and is expected to be deeply integrated with iTunes on Mac, stock music player in iPhone, iPad and iPods. Apple Music will also find its way to Apple TV and Android.

Last year when Apple acquired Beats, there was widespread speculation that the company would launch its own music streaming service, leveraging the Beats Music brand. Although pricing is not confirmed, Apple is expected to take a leaf out of Spotify's book and provide unlimited streaming with DRM locked downloads to subscribers' phones at a flat monthly rate. Dubbed Apple Music, the service would have a huge catalog of songs right from the get-go.
