WSJ reports that the Amazon smartphone is real and will be launched this year in June. Amazon just released FireTV, its own take on Apple TV, Roku and the likes running on Android with a gaming controller no less. The Amazon smartphone will quite possibly be launched in several different variants, with a customized port of Amazon's own Fire OS which is a forked version of Android.
What we have heard so-far of the Amazon smartphone that it will have some sort of 3D-tech in its display with multiple sensors for eye-tracking quite possibly to make the content seem life like no matter how you look at it. Although, at launch the Amazon Kindle Phone will be US only. We will keep a track on it to see how this develops.
