HTC One X+ Review at CNET

HTC had a real winner of a smartphone in the One X. The device offered plenty of goodies to make demanding Android users happy, such as a large 4.7-inch screen, a fast 4G LTE data connection, and nimble dual-core performance. Now HTC is upping the ante with the One X+, a significantly enhanced version of its worthy predecessor. This fresh device adds new quad-core processing courtesy of Nvidia, an updated Android 4.1 operating system, and a host of other improvements to an already excellent handset. I was lucky enough to spend some hands-on time with the HTC One X+ at AT&T's huge fall event, and I certainly liked what I saw. Read more...

HTC One X+ Review at Engadget

There's no question that with the One X+, HTC is offering more to Android power users outside of the US. What's less clear is whether it brings more in the areas that actually matter to you. The answer is "yes" -- but only if you meet some rather narrow criteria. If you loved the physical design and excellent display on the original global One X but were put off by its 32GB storage cap and second-best performance, then this new flagship is definitely worthy of consideration. It's extremely snappy, beating rivals phones on certain computation-heavy tests, and its graphics engine delivers a perfectly smooth experience even on the most visually-demanding tasks and games. What's more, the phone achieves all of this without making battery life any worse than it was before. Read more...

HTC One X+ Review at Gizmodo

As promised, this phone is fast. Apps snap open, games whiz by with zero labor. Jellybean's impressive Project Butter turns scrolling through lists and screens into some sort of expressionist art: It's hypnotically smooth. It looks like the original X's heat issue has been solved by a faster processor (with more cores) that doesn't have to work as hard. We played graphics-intensive games for hours without it getting uncomfortable, and it never crotch-cooked us riding around in a front pocket all day. Read more...

HTC One X+ Review at T3

The HTC One X+ is a stunning Android phone which, on paper, beats the Samsung Galaxy S3 in many ways - it’s faster, more rugged and - arguably - has a better design and classic unibody style which remains a modern classic. However, we think power users will demand a bigger screen and better battery however and these seemingly minor concerns prove to be niggles in an otherwise smartphone heavyweight. Read more...

HTC One X+ Review at TechRadar

As we said, the HTC One X+ had the potential to be the first five star smartphone since the Samsung Galaxy S2, but unfortunately it's quite literally run out of juice before the final hurdle. There are so many things to love about the One X+ and it really is a great smartphone. We urge you to give it a whirl in store, and while it may not have the fancy tricks of the Galaxy S3, or the cult following of the iPhone 5, it's happily rubbing shoulders with the big boys. HTC One X+ Review at Pocket-lint

The HTC One X+ arrives with a minor hardware refresh, and a sprinkling of software tweaks, keeping a design that we think is rather iconic and substantial. There will undoubtedly be some who say that the HTC One X+ is the phone the HTC One X should have been. It's an easy statement to make, but doesn't account for the fact that the One X at launch in February 2012 was fully-loaded. The pace of change in mobile phones is now so fast, that the HTC One X found itself overshadowed by the rival Samsung device. But can this tweak make this HTC handset the one to pick? And is this a significantly better device than the HTC One X? Read more...
