The Canvas Doodle 3 uses the familiar MediaTek MT6572 chipset with Mali-400MP GPU and 512 MB RAM. We have seen that with 1 GB RAM this chipset performs worse, which is a bit strange. Lava launched the Iris 406Q to rattle the cages with a Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor with 1 GB RAM running Android 4.3 at an entry-level price of just about Rs. 7000. Lava Iris 450 Colours is another entrant in the crowded entry-level segment in India, it features a dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor with 512 MB RAM but with a larger 4.5-inch FWVGA display which is something not found often in this segment.
