Xiaomi's Redmi brand is preparing to launch its next flagship smartphone in the K80 series in the coming month. In an official live broadcast, Wang Teng Thomas, General Manager of the Redmi brand, hinted at the configuration and pricing details of the upcoming Redmi K80 Pro.
According to Wang, the Redmi K80 Pro will offer a higher configuration than the “yellow” competitor's model, likely the iQOO 13, while being priced lower than the “red” competitor's model, assumed to be the OnePlus 13.
Redmi K80 Pro price? -
As a reference, the iQOO 13 with 12GB + 256GB is priced at 3999 yuan (about USD 559 or Rs. 47,160), while the OnePlus 13 is expected to cost more. Thus, the Redmi K80 Pro is expected to be priced below 4,000 yuan.
To compare, the Redmi K70 Pro with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was introduced starting at 3299 yuan, though it’s uncertain if a similar price point will be maintained this year. Presently, the realme GT 7 Pro, powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite, is the most affordable model at 3699 yuan, and with launch discounts, it goes down to 3599 yuan.
No Redmi K80E model During the live stream, Wang also confirmed that the company will return to a dual-flagship approach with the Redmi K series, meaning only the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro will be available, with no successor to the Redmi K70E.
Wang showcased the Redmi K80 Pro achieving an AnTuTu 10 score exceeding 3 million points at room temperature, with a peak temperature of 49°C. The display hinted at a metal frame, while other nearby devices scored 2.73 million and 2.83 million points.
Wang stated that the HyperOS 2 will be customized for the K80 series, with optimizations for gaming, improved touch responsiveness, and new system animations.

According to rumors, the Redmi K80 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen SoC, along with 90W wired and 30W wireless charging. The Redmi K80 Pro, with a Snapdragon 8 Elite, is expected to support 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, include a Light Fusion 800 sensor, a 50MP 3x telephoto camera, and a 32MP front camera.
Both phones are expected to feature a 6.67-inch 2K 120Hz flat display from TCL C9, a glass back, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The Redmi K80 series will launch in November alongside new headphones, smartwatches, and other AiOT products, with an exact date to be announced soon.
