OnePlus has announced that its latest flagship, the OnePlus 5 will be launching on June 20 in an online event. The company has also scheduled a separate event for India on June 22nd.
Yesterday, we also saw the first press render of the OnePlus 5 with dual rear cameras, LED flash and 2.5D curved glass over its display. A few things to note about the matte black color variant of the OnePlus 5 is that it is slightly rounder than before, the camera sensor in the front looks huge and the bezels on the side of the display are quite small.
OnePlus has already confirmed that the OnePlus 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor, and front what we have heard one of the variants may pack 8GB RAM as well. Android 7.1 Nougat will run the show, and according to CEO Pete Lau, it will be the thinnest flagship around. Whether that affects battery capacity is something we would have to see later in our review.
The OnePlus 5 launch event will take place at the National Sports Club of India (NSCI) in Worli Mumbai at 2PM. If you register for SMS alerts for the event from today till June 20th, there is a chance you can win one of 5 OnePlus 5 smartphones. Hit the source link for more information.
